Jake Cordell
Jake Cordell was born a Yankee, but is Tar Heel through and through. After accepting Jesus as his Savior at age 16, he went to Camp Courtney and that choice changed the direction of the rest of his life. That summer, he was baptized in the pool at Camp Courtney and also baptized in the Holy Spirit as well. That summer he was called into full-time ministry at camp as well. Nine months later he met the most amazing woman in the world – Lindsay Cordell. They were married later in 2003.
While finishing school at Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California, they served as youth pastors in Garden Grove, California. After graduating in 2005, they moved back east to serve as middle school pastors at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, North Carolina. Jake also served as an ELN Director and the young adult pastor. After the loss of two babies, Lindsay was able to carry a child full term and on September 11th, 2008 – Jacob Kane Cordell II was born. They call him Jack. Their beautiful daughter, Channing Hope joined their family in March of 2010. In March of 2012, they welcomed Oliver Austin Josiah to their family through adoption.
In January 2010, Jake and Lindsay accepted the role of NextGen Directors and moved to Georgia to serve their beloved Southeast District. Jake is serving as the NextGen Director which encompasses children, youth and young adult ministries for states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama. Jake is also the lead pastor of Life Church in Conyers, Georgia.
Jake’s passion is loving God, loving people and reaching the next generation.
