Patty Sullivan

Patty was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She came to the United States during her junior year of high school at age 15. After graduation, she attended medical school, but after 3 years, she felt God’s strong calling in her life to attend bible school and serve Him. In 1991, she enrolled at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas where she obtained a Practical Theology Associates with emphasis in Global Missions.

She met her husband, Jamie, at Christ for the Nations, and they have been married almost 15 years.

In 1997, along with her husband, she served as Youth Pastor for six years at Tidewater Foursquare Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. During this time, she also worked as a medical assistant for the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.

In 2003, she worked at Life East Bible College for a brief time as the registrar, helping with the closing of the school. Soon after the school closed, she was transferred to the central offices of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in Los Angeles, California. She worked in the National Church Office as the Executive Assistant to the General Supervisor, Glenn Burris, for over 5 years. She truly enjoyed serving our leaders, pastors and church family.

In 2009, following God’s direction, she and Jamie moved to Georgia. Patty now serves the Southeast District of Foursquare Church as the Assistant to the District Supervisor, Scott Reece, and she has loved working for the Foursquare family in the Southeast. Her heart is to serve and care for our pastors, leaders, and family.

In May of 2011, after waiting for 14 years, Patty and Jamie became the parents of a beautiful baby boy, Stephen Thomas. He is an amazing boy and puts a smile in their face, and constantly reminds them of God’s amazing mercy and love for them. They praise God for not giving up and lose faith, they trusted God, seek His heart, followed Him and His will for their lives regarding children, and then in May, God said… here is your baby!

Patty’s favorite scripture is Psalm 37:4-5 “Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.” The key of this scripture is to delight in the Lord and to trust in Him; it does not say He will give you the desires tomorrow, or right not, but it does say, delight in the Lord and commit your way to the Lord, Trust in Him. This scripture has become so real in her life over and over, and most recently God fulfilled her desire of being a mom after waiting for 14 years. Patty said… Stephen is so worth waiting for!

Patty loves Italian and Mexican food, but not spicy food. There is a common misconception that all Hispanics love spicy food, but that is not the case.

She loves to travel, but her favorite place is Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley, the beaches, Williamsburg, all the historic places that Virginia has to offer. There so much history there, so much peace, she loves being in the mountains in Virginia.
