Leslie Nelson
Leslie grew up in Wyoming but moved to Georgia in 1998, where she started her ministry career at Living Way Church in Stockbridge. As she realized her calling, she spent a great deal of time in school and received a Bachelor’s Degree at Christian Life School of Theology and a Master’s of Religious Education with emphasis in Chaplaincy at Liberty Theological Seminary.
Leslie has served in ministry in many roles over the years, beginning in the Children’s Church Department at Living Way Stockbridge. She has spent time as the Gulf Atlantic District Administrator, The Director of Ministries and the Associate Pastor at Living Way Stockbridge, and as a Volunteer Henry County Police Department Chaplain. She still serves as a HCPD Chaplain and serves in the National Guard full time as a Regional Care Team Chaplain.
Leslie has a very full life, serving Soldiers and spending time with her daughters, Morgan (21) and Lindsey (18), and their many close friends. She and Lindsey live in a condo in Atlanta overlooking the interstate…and love it!
Leslie loves being a chaplain and is very excited about serving the District as the Chaplain Representative.
Her favorite scripture is Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly[a] with your God”
Her favorite food is hummus and pita
